Public Influence Battle
PUBLIC INFLUENCE BATTLE LEAGUE IS A TOURNAMENT STYLE RAP BATTLE FEATURING UP AND COMING BATTLE RAPPERS SHOT IN VIRTUAL REALITY.
About us
PIB League follows a single-elimination format, where each battle determines who advances to the next round. Competitors face off until only one remains — the PIB League Champion — who will then go head-to-head with Tay Roc in the grand finale on August 8th, 2026.
The PIB League features eight up-and-coming battle rappers competing for multiple prizes and the ultimate opportunity — to win the tournament, earn a battle against an A-list battle rapper, and become the face of the Public Influence Battle League in VR!
Tournament Format:
- Sat February 21st 2026 Round 1 (Quarterfinals): 8 participants → 4 winners advance
- Sat April 25th 2026 Round 2 (Semifinals): 4 winners →2 winners advance
- Sat June 6th 2026 Round 3 (Finals): 2 winners → 1 champion
- Sat August 8th 2026 Grand Finale PIB League Champion vs Tay Roc
- Round Structure: Each battle consists of 3 rounds. Each rapper takes turns for each round, with time limits on each turn (90 seconds).
- Coin Toss: A coin toss determines who goes first in each battle.
- Rebuttals: In all rounds, rebuttals (quick responses to the opponent's previous verse) may be allowed.

1. Tournament Structure
- Single-Elimination Bracket: Each battle is a knockout round. Once a rapper loses, they are eliminated.
- Seeding: If applicable, contestants can be seeded based on prior performances or through a random draw.
- Rounds: The tournament continues until only one rapper remains, who is then declared the champion.
2. Battle Format
- Round Structure: Each battle consists of 2-3 rounds. Each rapper takes turns for each round, with time limits on each turn (e.g., 60-90 seconds).
- Coin Toss: A coin toss determines who goes first in each battle.
- Rebuttals: In some rounds, rebuttals (quick responses to the opponent's previous verse) may be allowed.
3. Judging Criteria
- Flow and Rhythm: Consistency, pace, and overall musicality.
- Lyricism and Creativity: Wordplay, metaphors, and originality.
- Punchlines and Impact: Hard-hitting lines, clever insults, and reactions from the crowd.
- Delivery and Stage Presence: Confidence, vocal control, and ability to engage the audience.
- Crowd Reaction: Some battles may consider audience reactions in scoring (if applicable).
4. Judging Process
- Panel of Judges: A panel (typically 3-5 judges) scores each round and decides on a winner. Judges should be knowledgeable in rap and unbiased.
- Scoring System: Judges may use a points-based system or vote after each round or at the end of the battle. The rapper with the majority vote wins.
- Tie-Breaker: If the judges cannot decide, a final overtime round can be held, or the crowd's reaction may be considered.
5. Rules of Conduct
- No Physical Contact: Physical aggression or threats lead to immediate disqualification.
- Time Limit Enforcement: Rappers must respect time limits; going over may result in point deductions or forfeiting the round.
6. Disqualification Criteria
- Violations of Conduct: Physical aggression, offensive language (if restricted), or unsportsmanlike behavior.
- Failure to Show: Not showing up on time may result in disqualification.
- Technical Issues: Technical problems (e.g., choking, forgetting lines) may impact scoring but generally do not lead to automatic disqualification.
7. Tournament Flow
- Preparation Time: Allow contestants time to prepare between rounds.
- Announcements: Make bracket updates and matchups clear to participants and the audience.
- Finals: The last two rappers face off, and the winner is crowned champion.

SUBMISSION
- To REGISTER, submit a 60–90 second video showcasing your best battle performance.
- Anything over 90 seconds will be automatically disqualified.
- You may submit a compilation video of your past battles, as long as the total runtime does not exceed 90 seconds.
- Only the top 16 artists will be selected to compete in a virtual 1-round, 60-second battle.
- A $150 registration fee will only be required if you are selected for the Top 16.
Advancement & Finals
- Winners of the 1-round matchups will advance to Roc’s Royal Rumble Tournament, taking place February 21, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio.
- If you make it to the Final 8, travel to and from Dayton is your responsibility.
- However, free lodging will be provided for participants traveling from out of state.

- Registration Fee Due: January 7, 2026
- Virtual 1-Round Battles: January 8–9, 2026 (via a social media platform TBA)
- Bracket Drawing Event: January 10, 2026 — names will be drawn live to match up the 8 finalists for Roc’s Royal Rumble.
